Stereoscopic 3D Production

This session will highlight requirements and the variety of digital 3D production. Phil Streather will talk about the experience he gathered with different stereoscopic film projects. About four million visitors a year will see his recent short film in a purpose-designed theatre in Merlin Entertainments London Eye. They will be taken to a 4D world: a 3D film combined with physical effects. One of the biggest challenges was the work on the helicopter to show a breathtaking flight over the city. Despite its short length, the movie required a creative cast of more than 100 people. The result is definitely more than an adrenaline-pumping, bone-rattling 4D experience.
